What I am talking about is the difference between
Passive and Active Action.
Passive activity is when you are immersed in the learning of something.
When you spend your time reading, researching, listening to podcasts, watching videos, etc.
Learning everything you can about a topic.
Active action is when you apply what you have learned.
You can passively learn every last detail about what it would take to lose the weight
but that won’t get you any results.
You can know everything about the newest weight loss trends.
Knowing and doing feel completely different.
Putting your knowledge into action is hard.
Anyone who tells you different is pulling your leg.
The second you start actively applying the information is when your brain will start screaming at you to
You see your brain likes routine,
And it will tell you anything it has to, to get you to stop
Your new diet.
And unless you expect it to happen
You very well may believe your own brain’s nonsense
And bail out.
That’s where having a coach comes in.
A coach is there to bounce the scary stuff off of.
To get a different perspective.
To hold space for you to work through your stuff.
Because when you actively do the work
You will end up with a result
That is very different from your current reality.
